Our story

Maggie Moffit as a business was developing for a long time. Lynda, the proprietor has always had a passion for creative work, be it in interior design, fashion or furniture. Up until September 2020, her fascination with restoring mid-century furniture had been an enjoyable hobby and a great way to gift beautiful and unique things to her friends. 

The life-changing moment--when Lynda realised she could potentially do what she loved full-time--came the day she walked into Paul Wilson Upholstery in Bendigo. She looked around at the rolls of fabric, stacks of furniture and the time-worn tools and thought "This place is AMAZING". When Paul came over and started chatting to her she was sold--here was an incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, kind and humble man who knew everything she wanted to know about creating truly beautiful furniture. 

Several visits to the workshop later and a lot of cajoling, Paul very kindly agreed to let her bring her upholstery projects to the workshop and learn under his guidance...she felt like the luckiest person in the world the day he agreed to teach her. She still feels like it is a magical place every time she walks through the doors of the workshop and the guys there feel like family. It was meant to be.
